Wheel Warranty & Coverage
Quality Tire honors all manufactures
warranties for aftermarket wheels. This section will help the end user to
determine examples of what is covered and what is not covered under a wheel
warranty. This section will also provide wheel maintenance procedures to help
keep your wheels to their original state.
Proper care and maintenance:
plated wheels should be cleaned with mild soap and water frequently.
Wheels must be cool before anything is put on the wheel.
possible, chrome plated wheels should not be used in areas where salt and
chemicals are used in winter weather.
wheels are driven in the winter months they should be cleaned every week.
pitting is not covered by any wheel manufacture. chrome pitting is not the
same as chrome separation.
manufacture's warranties only cover the face of the wheel, and not pitting
or peeling on the backside of the wheel. Proper attention should be paid to
the backside of chrome plated wheels when washing.

limited warranty covers only separation (blistering / peeling) of the plating
from the wheel or related accessory, not caused by impact, road hazzard, or

Salt and Brake Dust
|If you live in areas where there are extreme climate
conditions, please be aware that additional care needs to be taken to
keep the finish from being damaged. Additionally in any climatic area,
care must be taken to periodically remove any brake dust from the inner
barrel and windows of the chrome wheels.
Example: areas that use salt on the roads. If the salt comes in contact
with the wheel the finish can be damaged. It is advised to install
different wheels during these conditions.
Example: in coastal areas extra care needs to be taken to keep the
wheels clean as the salt air and an accumulation of brake dust can
damage the finish of the wheel.
EXAMPLES OF WHEELS NOT COVERED
UNDER THIS WARRANTY:
pitting from climatic conditions (road salts) on the inside window, and inner
barrel. Salts that are not promptly cleaned from the wheel corrode the chrome
finish and the soft aluminum casting beneath. This type of damage is not covered
under this warranty.
